    During this time of pandemic and we all have online classes, it is important to gather as much help as we can. Here are some apps and chrome extensions that can help students be more focused, organize, and study more efficiently:

1. Microsoft OneNote

     OneNote is an essential digital notebook that is very helpful for digital note-taking. This is the perfect app if you want to type your notes on your computer or laptop or if you have an iPad and you want to digitally hand-write your notes with a stylus. This app is completely free and has many amazing features. You can organize your notes by creating separate notebooks for different subjects, which can be organized into sections, and further into pages. You can also highlight, underline, draw, and add audio recordings directly into your notes.

          Slidesgo has tons of creative templates for Google slides and PowerPoint presentations. The templates are already organized in a specific category that makes it convenient to navigate through them in case you are looking for a specific style or category that you want. They have templates for education, business, marketing, medical, multi-purpose, and infographics. You can download it as a Google slides theme or as a PowerPoint presentation. You don’t have to worry about losing the font style or the placement of graphics because all of that is already embedded in it.

    Canva is a website that offers many creative templates for various materials. They have templates for Facebook/Instagram posts, posters, logos, infographics, Facebook covers, PowerPoint, cards, schedules, and many more.

4. Hemmingway


     Hemmingway can be an alternative to Grammarly that checks your writing. Every error that it sees in your writing is highlighted in different colors. Each color corresponds to different errors. Blue tells any the word that you can remove from your passage, Green tells you of any sentence that is in passive voice, Purple notifies you of any word that has a simpler alternative, Yellow highlights any sentence in your passage that is hard to read, and Red highlights any sentence in your passage that is very hard to read and very complex to understand.

    Quizlet is a free online learning tool where you can make flashcards to practice and master what you are learning. You can use it on your laptops, phones, or on your tablets. You start by creating your own study sets with terms and definitions. You can copy and paste from another source, or use Quizlet's built-in auto-define feature to speed up the creating process.

The background picture and the motivational quotes that you will see on the bottom part change every day so you get a different vibe and inspiration every day that will serve as a refresher.  You can also see the time and you can add your main focus for the day. In addition to that, you can add your to-do list on the lower right corner and add bookmarks on the upper left corner.
